KENT POLICE ARCHERY CLUB

Spring 2024

Henry VIII started a number of sporting archery groups during his reign ( 1509 -1547) – protecting them against prosecution from accidentally shooting with ‘ye bowe and arrowe’ anyone unfortunate enough to be passing by! This was termed as ‘The King’s Pardon’. Please bear in mind, It is extremely doubtful that ‘The Kings Pardon’ still applies today!
